Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with a virtual assistant.

Getting Started

What is a virtual assistant?
A virtual assistant (VA) is a remote professional who provides administrative, technical, or creative assistance to businesses. Unlike traditional employees, VAs work remotely and typically on a contract basis, giving you flexibility and cost savings.
How do I know if I need a VA?
You might benefit from a VA if you're spending too much time on admin tasks, missing deadlines, struggling to maintain work-life balance, or turning down opportunities because you're too busy. If you're doing tasks that don't require your specific expertise, a VA can help.
What's the process to get started?
It's simple! Book a free 15-minute discovery call so we can discuss your needs. I'll then send you a custom proposal. Once you approve, we schedule an onboarding session and I start taking tasks off your plate right away.

Services & Tasks

What tasks can you handle?
I specialize in administrative support, email and calendar management, social media management, and project coordination. This includes inbox management, scheduling, content creation, client communication, document preparation, research, and more.
What tools do you work with?
I'm proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Slack, Zoom, Calendly, Notion, Canva, Mailchimp, and many other popular business tools. If you use something I'm not familiar with, I'm a quick learner!
Are there tasks you don't do?
I don't handle tasks requiring professional licenses (legal, financial advice), live phone reception, or anything requiring physical presence. If you need something specialized, let me know and I can refer you to someone in my network.

Working Together

What are your working hours?
I work Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm EST. I'm flexible and can occasionally accommodate requests outside these hours with advance notice. I typically respond to messages within 2 hours during business hours.
How do we communicate?
I adapt to your preferred communication style! Most clients use Slack or email for day-to-day communication, with weekly video check-ins via Zoom. You'll always know what's being worked on and completed.
How do you handle confidential information?
Confidentiality is paramount. I sign NDAs with all clients, use secure password managers, and never share client information. I use encrypted communication channels and follow best practices for data security.

Pricing & Payment

What are your rates?
I offer flexible pricing: hourly ($35/hour), monthly retainer packages (starting at $1,200 for 40 hours), or project-based pricing for specific deliverables. Retainer clients receive priority scheduling and discounted rates.
How do you track hours?
I use time tracking software that provides detailed reports of time spent on each task. You'll receive weekly summaries showing exactly how your hours were used, ensuring complete transparency.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept payments via Stripe (credit/debit cards), PayPal, and bank transfer. Retainer clients are billed at the beginning of each month. Hourly and project clients are invoiced bi-weekly or upon project completion.
Is there a minimum commitment?
For hourly clients, there's a 5-hour minimum per month. Retainer packages are month-to-month with no long-term contract required. I do ask for 30 days notice if you'd like to end our working relationship.
